MERROWVISTA OUTDOOR EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Each September our seventh graders have the opportunity to spend two nights and three days with their classmates and teachers in Center Tuftonboro, NH. Students work together with their classmates to communicate, problem-solve and encourage one another to reach their personal goals. In the Spring, sixth grade students and their parents are given the opportunity to learn about Merrowvista by attending informational meetings.
JOHNS HOPKINS CENTER FOR TALENTED YOUTH (CTY)
Any seventh grade student who scores in the 95th percentile, or above, on their most recent NWEA or NECAP assessments (in the areas of Mathematics or Reading) will have the opportunity to take the High School S.A.T. test. Eligible students will be notified by their Guidance Counselor at the end of October. Click on the Johns Hopkins button to learn more about this program.

HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
In conjunction with the the Science unit on the human reproductive system, I work collaboratively with your child’s Health Teacher and our School Nurse to teach the Human Growth & Development Unit. The focus of these lessons will be on the social, emotional, and physical changes that occur during puberty. A letter of notification will be sent home prior to the start of this unit.
